This was a ding dong game ending in Glen's scraping through by the skin of their teeth. Glen's did, however, deserve to win as they played a more expansive and open entertaining game as opposed to East Kilbride main tactic of pick and go.
The home side opened the scoring after five minutes with a penalty by Campbell. But five minutes later Glen's replied with a try by Henderson after some slick offloading by backs and forwards. Starting at the home 22 line. Twenty minutes later McKeown touched down a very similar try for the visitors but East Kilbride could only manage another penalty before half time despite persistent pressure on the visitor’s line a score only being prevented by a stubborn Glen's defence. Half time score 6 - 10.
Shortly after the restart Glen's forced another penalty but soon afterwards Stott barged through to add to the home side tally bringing the score to
11 - 13. Again Glen's forced a penalty giving them a 6 point lead but five minutes before time Hagerty sprinted over for East Kilbride which Campbell converted making the score 18 - 16 and leaving Glen's little time to recover the game. However they made the most of it and Ekaveki broke through the home defence but his pass for a certain score went adrift. This was repeated by McKeown but his scoring pass was knocked on.
Just on time Glen's were pressing hard and forced another penalty. Although a good 35 meters out Thomson stroked the ball between the posts to give the visitors the four points.
