This weeks Ulster v Toulon European Cup match has forced matches scheduled to be played by Ards Rugby Club teams to be either rescheduled or cancelled due to player unavailability.
The matches affected are:
Dungannon v Ards 2nds (a) - rescheduled to Fri 24th Oct @ 745pm
Malone v Ards 4ths (a) - Ards have been forced to concede this game as a request to play this match on Friday evening was turned down by Malone. Both these teams in recent seasons have been competed for the League title and it has usually been decided by who wins the matches between both teams.
In effect Ards may have conceded the Minor League to Malone.
Rugby PLAYERS are Rugby FANS and it would right to think that Rugby players want to go and watch the best rugby matches, thus with up to 15,000 fans watching Ulster on a Saturday afternoon at 1pm, the club/team which these rugby players/fans play for every week will struggle to field teams on a Saturday.......or maybe Club rugby players aren't meant to go to rugby matches !?!
