The Community

Social & Sporting Development.

Avonmouth O.B.R.F.C mini/juniors are very proud to have a very strong link with Bristol Bear. We are regular attendees of the famous “Super Sunday” which always proves to be a great family day out. The day begins at 10am, when Bristol Community Rugby arrive at Avonmouth for a two hour training session for the whole of the junior section. The players then get presented with a Bears goodie bag. After a bite to eat in the clubhouse, we make our way to Ashton Gate for the pre-match parade of the pitch. The juniors then form the legendary ‘Tunnel Of Honour’ for the Bears and opposition XV players to run through on their way out to kick-off.

“Club Together” Scheme

We have recently been approached by Bristol Bears to be the first club to get involved with a new initiative “Club Together”. The scheme has four levels, two of which we have already completed by being involved in the projects talked about above. We are currently working towards level three “Club Day Out” which involves Avonmouth as a club going to a Bristol home fixture at a highly discounted price. Level four has lots of benefits to the club, some of which include first XV player appearances at one of our social events and on completion will give us the great honour of wearing the Bristol badge on our collar.
