The big news coming out of Ballina Rugby Club this week isn't about our First 15 beating St Senan's or the Second team taking on Sligo - instead, we're so excited to announce that the Mini-Rugby season is about to resume.
We're preparing to welcome the stars of the future to the club every Saturday morning when the air will hum with excitement and fun. It's the most thrilling portion of every weekend in many households throughout the region and we're well aware how special Mini Rugby is to so many.
It's just as thrilling for everyone involved in the club at all levels and we just can't wait for the minis to start up again.
The sessions resume on Saturday, September 10 and they are open to all boys and girls aged between six and 12. Because of the large numbers expected, there will be two sessions this year to accommodate everyone and make it even more fun for all involved. At 10am the U-7, U-8, U-9 and U-11 boys will take to the pitch and at 11.30am the U-10 and U-12 boys and girls of all ages will take centre-stage.
Gum shields are compulsory and new players will be made especially welcome.
