Goalkeeper Leigh Bedwell re-signs for United

Leigh Bedwell who had a three month loan spell with Banbury last season, re-signs on a permanent basis ahead of this afternoon's game against Bideford

Leigh is a 20 year-old goalkeeper who originally joined the club on loan from Swindon Town in September 2013. He made 18 appearances for Banbury in the three months prior to the expiration of his loan period.

Leigh came through the junior ranks at Swindon and earned his first professional contract in the summer of 2012. He made his Swindon Town first team debut in September 2012 at Preston North End when Paolo Di Canio decided when 2-0 down to replace starting custodian Wes Foderingham with the on the bench Bedwell.

Leigh also had a short loan spell with Conference North side Worcester City last season. He was released by Swindon at the end of last season.
