An outstanding fielding performance by Beaconsfield Under 13s was the basis of a Bucks Cup quarter final victory away to Great Kingshill.

Only one of the eight GKCC wickets to fall was bowled out, the rest being made up of 5 catches and 2 run outs.

Beaconsfield’s broad based bowling attack continues to impress with sterling work by the ever improving Sam Ing and Jonny Davies, unexpected spin on an artificial pitch from Tom Bickley and the usual solid deliveries by Kieran Roy.

The BCC boys had clearly learned from an average fielding performance in the previous Friday's defeat to Chesham and gave little away. Excellent catches by skipper Harry Cameron and Finn O'Toole added to some excellent boundary throws by Joey Tres and a fine athletic performance by wicket keeper Flynn Harmen put pressure on the home team who saw out their 20 overs with a total of 82-8.

Beaconsfield's response stuttered temporarily as Cameron and Lewis Bishop lost their wickets early and doubts started to emerge as GKCC's star county bowler made his pace and accuracy count.

Enter Arjun Babhania intent on improving on his Golden Duck against Chesham who scored an imperious 30 including 6 stunning fours taking the score to 50.

Ben Monson contributed with a patiently constructed 17 not out and partnered with O'Toole who hit 3 fours in a knock of 17 to see Beaconsfield through to a home semi final against Buckingham Town.
