Beccehamian RFC Mini & Junior sections commit to "Half Game" rule

Beccs are proud to voluntarily commit to the half game rule.

This rule requires all age grade clubs to make sure everyone in a match day squad gets to play at least half the game time available.

This initiative, is no real change for us, as Beccehamian mini and junior section team's have already adopted this for many many years. Mixed ability and total inclusion has been our policy, which provides for a player centered and enjoyable environment, whereby all children, have opportunities to play an equal amount of game time, regardless of ability.

England RFU: "The half game rule is being introduced voluntarily in England for 2018/19 and follows successful implementation in New Zealand and Wales and a trial in local club and school competitions in England last year. This voluntary year will help prepare for mandatory introduction from September 2019".

Beccehamian RFC welcome this approach, and as part of the club's existing commitment to "Kids First Rugby", look forward to continuing to develop children of all abilities.
