Mount Pleasant Park is the home of three bowling teams. Beddau is a 'flat green' bowling club, with members from around the Beddau areas.The three teams are: Beddau Mens, Mount Pleasant Ladies and the Police.
The Beddau Mens team was formed in 1974 and still has a good membership. They currently play in the Saturday Cardiff Municipal League (CML) Division 3, and two Rhondda Leagues - Monday Afternoon (RAL) one league and Thursday Evening (REL) Section 2. The Ladies team currently play in the G.C.W.B.A. Afternoon and Evening Leagues,
The current home for Beddau Bowls is Mount Pleasant Park, which was opened in 1938 and then called Beddau Park. The Beddau Bowling Club was established in 1974, when it was used by the Ely Valley Bowls Club, while they waited for their green to be developed in Coedely. When they left for their new home, players remained and formed the now Beddau Bowling Club.
The current team captains are Mr T. Wilkins (men) and Mrs Pam Harris (Ladies).

The club have four fixtures over the coming days which start today with Carruthers Cup tie at home to Cyfartha, with a 2.30pm start time. Then on Bank Holiday Monday there is a re-arranged RAL match at home to Ynyscynon with a 2pm start. On Tuesday there is Mid Glamogan Cup action as the team travel to Gelli Park and they finish off their midweek action with a police league tie away at Ystradfechan, which starts at 5.45pm.
