Bedford Town v Leighton Town

Bedford Town v Leighton Town

Roger Worsley16 Aug 2014 - 08:39

Today (Sat 16th Aug) is the 1st home league match of the season for the Eagle.

First game of the season is a Bedfordshire derby match, so come on down to the Eyrie this afternoon and see for yourself. Match starts at 3pm, but get here a bit earlier and look around the ground. As you go through the turnstile, you'll see Max selling the Golden Goal tickets (£1 a go). A few steps further is the club shop, selling all kinds of Bedford Town merchandise. Why not purchase a replica shirt, or even a scarf (for the onset of winter), or hat. You can also join the supporters club, subscribe to the monthly Golden Egg competition and even book your place on the supporters coach to away games, taking away the stress of driving todays roads. Before you enter the club shop, stop at the corner hatch to buy a Match Programme (£2). A bit further on is the Burger bar, on the end of the clubhouse. Fancy a drink and a chat? Go into the clubhouse itself. We have a selection of drinks at the bar. Don't fancy alcohol? move on towards the far side of the pitch where the Supporters Club Tea Hut sells hot and cold drinks, as well as a small selection of foodstuffs and sweets. If you fancy tracking down a particular programme, then the Stan Maxey Centre is between the main stand and the Tea Hut. Spend a few minutes mooching around the shop for old programmes. You may find what you're looking for.
95% of the ground has no allocation, so you may sit or stand practically anywhere - except the area reserved for directors and officials, the dugouts and the press box.
You'll find, outside the clubhouse, a frame on the side of the main stand with the team sheet displayed.
So, come down to the Eyrie. Ample parking and a live match.
See you here this afternoon.
