Biography

As Birkenhead Park's current 1st team captain, Chris is widely considered one of the most popular figures in Wirral cricket.

Prior to his time with Park, he previously played Liverpool Comp Premier League cricket with local rivals New Brighton (2000-2005) where he showed great potential as a class left-handed batsman.

In 2006, he moved across the Wirral to play for another local team in Oxton and played a pivotal role in getting them promoted to the Cheshire County Premier League in 2008. He also skippered the side to a respectable mid-table position in 2010.

During that time, Davies also featured for Cheshire alongside former Park skipper Chris Stenhouse.

He did have one previous stint with Park in 2011 albeit in difficult circumstances as the club struggled in the Meller Braggins league but he did contribute two half-centuries in nine league games before joining Irby.

Having played cricket over in Australia for a while, Chris came back to Park for last year's maiden season in the Liverpool Comp Premier League and excelled by making over 600 runs in all formats including six half-centuries. He also managed to force his way into the Liverpool Comp Representative side during 2014.

His role as skipper proved significant in 2015 as he led Park to a respectable 6th place finish in the Premier League.
