Local home shopping brand, Damart has announced a new sponsorship with the Bees, supporting its Junior Rugby Programme.

From next season, the Damart logo will feature on the collar of the first team shirts and the company will also be advertising around the ground and in the programme.

Damart’s marketing director, John Bottomley: “We have more than 800 staff in Bingley and Steeton and we are keen to support the local community in which we all work and live. We’re particularly impressed with The Bees’ commitment to developing young players and delighted to be helping support the Junior Rugby Programme at the club.”

The Bees’ director of rugby, Martin Whitcombe said: “Our thriving Junior Rugby Programme attracts hundreds of children and Damart’s sponsorship will be invaluable in supporting the work we do with these youngsters some of whom, like Richard Scull who started with the under-7s, go on to play first team rugby at the club.”

The Bees’ 1st XV team is currently playing in the National Division 3 (North) and the first official home match is on September 10 against Chester.
