Essential information for all parents of children training with Bury Broncos or wanting to join Bury Broncos
We have been working for some time making sure that as a club, Bury Broncos are ready to enter junior teams in the North West Counties 8 - 12s league from March. In December the league met and subject to our submission of various documents the Broncos was accepted into the league ready to play games form March. More information on the NWC s League can be found here.
This means we can start to properly prepare to enter the league and play competitive games.
There will be a parents meeting on Wednesday 18th January at which parents can meet more of the people involved and ask any questions. On the night we will also run a 'touchline managers course' with the RFL attending.
The meeting will be your chance to meet some of the other people involved in Bury Broncos and ask any questions that you may have. There will also be a 30 minute 'touchline manager' course run by Ryan Bradley, the Rugby League Strategic Officer for Bury, Bolton and Rochdale. The Bury Broncos are signed up to the RFL 'Respect' campaign and this is an opportunity for parents to understand what that means.
Training over the next few weeks will be indoors in the Sports Hall at Broad Oak High School in Bury. A location map can be found at the bottom of here. Players will need to wear trainers, bring a drink and bring £1 to help contribute to the costs.
Training will be 7pm until 8pm on the 11th January, 18th January and 25th January.
From January 22nd we will also introduce a junior training session from 10am to 12 midday - at Philips High School. This session will be outdoors. All juniors are welcome to attend.
We are also looking at updating information on the Bury Broncos website. This section here will be a dedicated section for all our mini sides (all sides Under 12). We have started to update these sections and will be adding more pictures etc. now that the new junior kit has arrived.
If you haven't seen the kit, the initial designs are still on the website and can be found here - we know a lot of the youngsters liked to see what they will be wearing.
