The Broncos are excited to be entering two sides this season, with the open age team in Division Five complimented by the club’s first ‘A’ side who will compete alongside 24 other teams in the Entry Division.
After a few minutes of suspense (the advertising in the room not to give things away) Domino's were announced as the league sponsor. This brings in multiple partnerships including Rybrook Jaguar and The Steve Prescott Foundation.
Their involvement included not just the night’s dinner but a commitment to provide support and promotion to clubs; including presence at a featured match each week, blogging online and the sponsorship of three awards. Guest speakers Jon Wilkin and Lee Briers spoke of their pride in being associated with the Outstanding Contribution and Team of the Season awards that bear their names, whilst a representative from the Steve Prescott Foundation highlighted what a fitting figurehead Steve is for the Community Engagement honour.
Their commitment to bring much deserved recognition to the work done by amateur clubs and their volunteers across the region is admirable, and will hopefully help in both the development of clubs and in bringing more people into the sport tying in nicely with what the community game should be about.
