For those who want to add a competitive edge to proceedings the best ever team placing the Broncos have achieved was the 6th place Carl Donnelly, Chris Ready, Simon Palin and Michael Higginson managed in 2009. The same group followed up with the fastest time for a Broncos group at 1:54:41 which saw them end in seventh.

For the past 3 years Prestwich Athletic Club have donated monies raised via the Prestwich Challenge to the Child Development Centre at Fairfield General Hospital, Bury, Manchester.

These monies have purchased equipment for children with specialist needs, such as specially adapted car seats, which provide safety and extra support, physiotherapy equipment, safety equipment and toys. All these items help towards enhancing the daily lives of all the children involved.

In 2011 we will continue to support the Child Development Centre, and we welcome Camberwell Park School, a Primary School in Blackley for children with severe learning difficulties as a new beneficiary from the Challenge.
