Camborne's flying wing puts pen to paper for the Championship club.

The Cornish Pirates have added another hot Cornish Prospect to the crew with this morning’s signing of wing Alex Ducker.

Aged 21, Alex possesses speed and nifty footwork that has seen him develop into a try-scoring machine.

A product of Camborne’s youth section from the age of 8 to 14, he then had a season with Redruth Colts, before returning to Camborne.

He made the step up to senior rugby at Penryn, but last season made another return to Camborne to star for them in the Tribute South West 1 league.

Having represented Cornwall at age group levels, Alex gained selection to the senior side in May when Cornwall beat Devon 17-0 at Polson Bridge to retain the Tamar Cup.

"Alex has trained with the squad during our two previous pre-seasons so we are pleased he now has an opportunity to be part of the squad for the whole season.” said Ian Davies Director of Rugby.

It is going to be a massive step up from South West One but one that he is looking forward to meeting head on."
