Ex-Canton RFC Player in Tournament Success

Luke Crocker, ex-Canton RFC youth/senior player, represented Wales as captain of the WRU 7’s squad which played in a three tournament series which resulted in winning the 2015 Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix Plate (see final standings below).

France were crowned 2015 Rugby Europe Sevens Grand Prix Champions after beating hosts England 14 – 5 in the Cup Final of the Exeter Sevens. The defending champions won each of the three legs in Moscow, Lyon and Exeter. France secured qualification to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro by beating Wales in the Cup Quarter Final. However Wales upset the odds to win the Plate with a gutsy 14-10 win over Russia.
