Ex-Hednesford Town Striker re-signs ahead of 2016/17 campaign

Last season’s top scorer Paul Sullivan has given Boss Dave Stringer a massive boost ahead of next season by committing to the 2016/2017 campaign.

Sullivan who played a pivotal part in Chasetown’s play-off push last season is set to embark on a second year at the club since re-joining from the Pitmen on a permanent basis.

The striker bagged SEVENTEEN goals in all competitions last season, including a hat-trick in a 9-1 win over Loughborough Dynamo - beating his previous record of sixteen in 2013/2014.

And despite spending less than four full seasons at the club, Sullivan has so far racked up a total of 56 goals since making his debut in 2012.

In January 2014, he moved to Hednesford Town after a successful first spell at the Scholars Ground. But returned to Chasetown on-loan midway through the following season where he scored an incredible twelve goals in twelve games.

After his loan expired, he was back at Keys Park for the rest of the campaign - before re-signing for the Scholars on a permanent basis in August 2015.

And Sullivan’s goal ratio continued to flourish after achieving the clubs top scorer award at the end of the 2015/2016 season.
