Service will be playing up a league next season, after some super results against some very tough opposition, over the past 6 months.
For some, a couple of turning points were the beating of eventual league winners BHSFp at home, and Virginia away. The commitment to training and self-belief in the players overall ability, was also another governing factor in finishing the season on a high.
Probably the best way to look at this fantastic achievement is the fact that the 'senior squad,' did it all under their own steam, and didn't have to rely on others going up or down in Qualifying 1.
Early starts and travelling hundreds of miles in round trips to play rugby on Saturday afternoons in the dark days of winter, should not be underestimated, so from a coaching and management perspective it's a massive thank you to all players for your support and commitment to the team throughout the season.
Thanks also to our home and travelling support, it does make a difference especially when 60 + supporters turn out to cheer the lads on when they played and won their last home league game recently.
One game to go now, and that's away to Letterkenny on 18 April. This will be a bus trip, and all support will be very welcome.....NB 1.30 kick-off.
See you at training on Monday and Wednesday
