The Club are delighted to announce that manager Chris Davies has decided to continue in his role as First Team manager.

First of all, what changed your mind?

After a bit of time to think, a few conversations with the committee (and a few beers) I decided that there was still something to build on. I thought it would be a shame to finish now when a lot of hard work has been put it to get us to where we are. I had a few offers but I've built the team over the past 3 years and didn't want to be back to square one. I think we've got a great group of lads here and if we can stay together and put the work in I think we'll win trophies.

There were some concerns I raised a few months ago and I felt they weren't being addressed but I now feel they've been taken on board and efforts are being made to help the situation.

Also I had a couple of conversations with a few of the senior players and that was a big factor for me. It was nice to see I had their backing and they were keen for me to stay on as manager.

So I've committed myself for another season and hopefully there'll be more success to come.

What are you thoughts on the season so far?

I think this season has been a mixed one. I feel its been a missed chance with the league which I now think is a step too far. We still have a lot to play for starting with another cup quarter final on Saturday. We've got to pick ourselves up from yesterday and go again.

Expectations for the remainder of the season?

To win a trophy. That is a must for a club like Carno. We've done exceptionally well over the past 3 years in cups and we'd like that to continue. Also to put as much pressure as we can on Rhayader and at least secure 2nd place in the league.

Have you thought ahead to next season?

For the club to develop on and off the pitch. I'm not thinking that far ahead at the moment though as there's so much work to be done this season.
