"We wanted to let those who would like to pay their respects to my Dad know that we have confirmed the date for the funeral.
"The service is on Friday 24th March at 11:00am, St. Mary's Church, Crowborough with a private family cremation held straight after.
"After the service everyone is welcome to come to Crowborough Athletic Football Club to raise a drink (or a few) and celebrate his life.
"We would prefer people to wear bright colours and not to buy flowers.
"If you do wish to make a donation, we have set up a Paul McCarthy Memorial Fund. The details will be on the Tester and Jones funeral directors website later on in the week but if you have any questions please message us".
