Previously with Welling United the 22-year-old Guyanese came through the ranks at Selhurst Park earning a professional contract in July 2012 but turned down the offer of extending his contract with the Eagles moving to Charlton Athletic the following year. A number of Championship and League One clubs were believed to have expressed an interest in signing Daniel at the time. Whilst with Charlton Athletic Kadell spent time on loan with both Hayes & Yeading United and at Torquay United towards the end of the 2015/2016 season. At Plainmoor he scored his first goal in senior football – a well taken finish setting the Gulls on the way to a 2-0 home win over Altrincham.
Later that year Kadell was part of the Guyana Under 23 squad attempting to qualify for the current Olympics being held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. However, it was not to be as Guyana lost their opening games in Antigua to first Cuba then to the hosts to exit the competition at the first hurdle.
In the summer Kadell was released by Charlton Athletic, joining Woking on a free transfer. Whilst with the Cards he scored 3 times in his 21 appearances, a dozen of those as substitute. In the New Year Kadell was on the move once more joining National League strugglers Welling United for an undisclosed fee. In his time at Park View Road, Kadell endeared himself to the Wings’ fans with key goals in their ultimately doomed fate to avoid the drop including a spectacular winner away to Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park.
