Two Eastbourne U13 Players accepted in Harlequins School of Rugby

There has been more good news for the Eastbourne RFC under 13s rugby team.

In a season where they currently top their East Sussex league, two members of this successful team have been awarded places at Harlequins School of Rugby.

After a rigorous selection process Eastbourne's Angus Bingham and Luke James have been invited to join a squad of twenty-five of the best players from the whole of Sussex. It is testament to the efforts of this age-group that in addition to the two successful trialists a further five players, Callum Carlton, Keenan Poolton, Louis Wood, Mason Dowle and Harvey Warren were considered good enough to be selected by their schools to take part in the trial which took place at Brighton RFC.

The Harlequins School of Rugby is the first step within a programme which may lead onto Harlequins' own Academy and Elite Player Development Group. As almost half of the Harlequins' full-time professional squad came through their Academy programme, the Eastbourne boys' well-earned selection is an exciting development both for the boys and for Eastbourne Rugby Club.
