Eccleshill United continue their NCEL season tomorrow afternoon, and they face league high flyers Knaresborough Town FC, who currently sit in 2nd on the table.
Eccleshill’s last game was a humbling 5-1 home defeat in the West Riding County Cup at the hands of Ossett Town, and they will want to show their bounce back ability and claim three points tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, Knaresborough’s last game saw them comfortably beat Grimsby Borough 4-1 at home, extending their unbeaten run to six games, a run Eccleshill will want to stop.
The Eagles currently sit in 10th in the league, but if they beat Knaresborough and other results go their way they could see themselves climb into the top six again.
Their last league game was a nail biter, and they left it late to secure the win when captain Sam Bradley scored his second of the game in the 92nd minute to make it 3-2 against Yorkshire Amateurs.
Eccleshill will want to win again on Saturday and start building some form after having a disappointing September in which they only registered one win all month, and slipped from first to 10th.
Knaresborough will want to keep building on their solid recent form and keep themselves in contention for promotion this season.
Luke Harrop is closing in on a return to full fitness after injury has meant he has only been able to make a few substitute appearances recently.
Joe Stead has also resumed his position in between the sticks following a few months out with a shoulder injury, so the squad is going back to normal now.
The Eagles will want to win but will have their work cut out against a well organised Knaresborough team, the game is poised well and should be a good one.
