The Eagles look to continue its impressive run of form on Wednesday evening when the club hosts Rossington Main at the Mitton Group Stadium for league action.

Sean Regan's side is riding a wave of momentum, seeing them pick up 33 out of the last 36 points and coming off the back of an incredible 5-2 victory against Knaresborough Town on Saturday, confidence is going to be high within the squad.

Eccleshill United showed character, determination and great skill during the 5-2 win, with the pass and move ability of the side in full force despite the fact that three regular first-team players were unavailable.

Regan will also be pleased that both of his strikers head into this midweek clash having just scored, with Chris Lever netting a hatrick and Antony Brown scoring his first goal for the club from open play, something they will be looking to continue.

Whilst top scorer Jonny Irving will still be serving part of his three-match ban, the Eccleshill United side won't be weakened on the wing with Luke Harrop hoping to continue his best form of the season, whilst Ben Hardy showed what a threat he is against the league leaders, being involved in three of the five goals.

As well as that, Regan will be boosted by the return of both Matt Mathers and Scott Manning, adding greater strength and depth to the Eccleshill United squad, making the decision of who to start a difficult one.

The Eagles sit nine places above mid-table Rossington, who are currently enduring a difficult run, earning only one victory in its last eight outings after an impressive start to the season.

Rossington's last defeat came on Saturday, something they will aim to put right against Eccleshill when they were beaten 3-1 by Yorkshire Amateur.

However, the Eagles will be well aware of Rossington's capabilities after struggling against the visitors twice last season. The home fixture saw Eccleshill twice throw away a goal lead to draw the game 2-2, whilst the away game saw Rossington soundly defeat the Eagles 3-0, something that the squad will be hoping to not to repeat this week.
