Fairford Primary School After School FC was formed in 2011 and has two teams. The Sharks are made up of Year 6 pupils, with the Tigers represented by Year 5 children.

The children attended the game between Swindon Town Ladies and Chichester, forming a guard of honour as the teams came onto the pitch.

They also had the opportunity to play a game on the pitch at half-time in front of the watching spectators.

Their coach, John Challinor, commented: "It was a privilege to attend such a splendid sporting evening.

"The team members who were fortunate enough to attend relished the occasion and were ‘champing at the bit’ to make their appearance at half-time.

"I’m sure the spectators enjoyed their cameo performance. Treasured moments to savour!"
