Club History


FC Oswestry Town are a new club in Shropshire, playing from The Venue, Park Hall, Oswestry and currently playing in the Mercian Regional Football League Premier Division , along with the Reserve team playing in the Mercian Regional Football League Division 1.

FC Oswestry Town were formed in 2013-14 season and took the place of Oswestry Lions in the Mercian Regional Football League Division 1. In our first season we finished third and were promoted to the Premier Division. During the 2014-15 season Town finished a disappointing 5th but won their first silverware by defeating Whitchurh Alport in the Commander Ethelstone cup.

This season Town introduced a Reserve team to develop players and are pushing for promotion into the North West Counties Football League.

The ambition of the club is to climb the English FA leagues and provide FA Cup football for local people and continue the fine tradition of football in Oswestry.
