Louise makes Glapwell history

User 9105631 Aug 2010 - 16:57

Louise Spence (15) from Kirkby-in-Ashfield made history when she became the first ever match day mascot for Glapwell FC.

Louise carried the match day ball as she led the teams and officials out onto the Field Mill turf prior to the FA Cup game against Lincoln Moorlands Railway FC on Sunday.

She was also given the honour of flipping the coin for the first competitive game Glapwell FC played at Field Mill.

Louise was presented with the chance to be the mascot after her foster grandfather Barry Maltby won the prize in a raffle at the pre-season game versus Alfreton.
