Sam came to Hindley from New Springs ARLFC and played for 5 seasons at Hindley under Paul Thompson and Franny Fairhurst. Sam then went to play one season at Wigan St. Pats before being signed for Wigan. Sam has only recently turned 19 and is a great example for players to persevere when things don't always go your way. Despite going for Service Area Trials Sam was never selected to play for Wigan & Leigh Service Area. However he continued to play and enjoy his rugby at Hindley, always giving nothing less than 100%, always being a true team player. His great attitude, desire and skills were never in doubt to Paul and Franny and they have shone through.

Sam will be the first to admit he still has a lot to do to achieve his goals at Wigan, but it is great to see some of his hard work and dedication to the sport he loves starting to pay-off for him and we at Hindley would like to wish him all the best for the future.
