James Harper signs for Hungerford Town Football Club

Bobby has the license to add to the core Crusaders squad to strive for continuous improvement

Hungerford Town are pleased to announce that James Harper is the latest signing as of 13th October 2016.
The 35-year-old was born in Chelmsford who has recently played for Hayes & Yeading United. He started his youth career as a trainee with Arsenal before signing permanently for Reading for an undisclosed fee, it was said to be a six-figure fee at the end of February 2001.
He gained vital Premier League experience in his time in Berkshire, making more than 300 appearances in the English top-flight over the Royals two-season stay.
He left the Madejski Stadium in 2010 and played for Sheffield United, Hull City and Wycombe Wanderers on loan before signing for Doncaster in August 2012. Further clubs include, Barnet, Basingstoke town, Hayes & Yeading United and now Hungerford Town Football Club.
“We are pleased that James Harper will bring a quality and experience to the evolving Crusaders squad, strengthening the line up as early as the home game against Poole on Saturday 22nd of October”, commented Bobby Wilkinson.
