Busy Saturday ahead for the Island Marine

Island Marine FC25 Sep 2015 - 12:22

Island Marine teams will be out in force on Saturday 26 September with a full fixture programme for mini, juniors and seniors

The U7's kick off this busy weekend with Andrew James and Nathan Watkins taking their Blue and Yellow teams to play at Barry Sports Centre. While Leon Butler and Matt Spry take their Blues and Yellows to play at Bryn Hafren.

Les Harrington and his coaching team take the U8's to play at Barry Boys playing fields again with the Blues and Yellows in action.

Dave Phillips and Mark Frayne U9's yellows have a tough game against FC Barry at the Barry Sports Centre. While Andrew and Lee Herbert's Blues play Park Lions at the Butts.

Aidy Millard's U10 yellows are also in action at the Butts again against Park Lion Raiders. The U11's Blues and Yellows under coaches Andrew Thomas and James Patterson entertain Cowbridge Reds A and B at the Barry Sports Centre.

All Junior sides including the U13's Yellow and Blues and the U14's are all in cup action and we wish them well in their quest for silverware.

Into the afternoon and it's the turn of the senior sides. Martin Byrnes 'B' side travel to Bryn Y don to take on Cadoxton Barry and with a mixed start for the boys, Byrnsey will be hoping for three points to get the season back on track.

Haydn Stait and Kevin Owens take the A side on a trip to Merthyr in the first round of the Intermediate cup against Quar Park Rangers. A good result last week will give the boys a lift going into this important fixture.

Good luck to all coaches and players involved this weekend and let's hope the teams get the much needed support to cheer them on. The weather will be good so no excuses not to get behind the Marine.
