Kent Football United an FA Charter Standard Club officially became a Semi Professional football club after the Kent Invicta League AGM held at Rochester Sports & Social Club this afternoon. The club has made great strides since forming in 2010 and following today's news will allow us to continue in the rapid development the club is experiencing.
Kent Football United has amalgamated with Erith & Dartford in the Kent Invicta League and will compete at Step 6 in the National System from the 2012/13 season. In addition to this the club will now be competing in the FA Cup, FA Vase, London Senior Cup, Kent Intermediate Cup, Challenge Cup & Hospital Cup.
With the club having a Senior side at this level will raise the profile of the club across the County and the hard work being done behind the scenes is there for everyone to see. Pre season training for the Senior has already begun with 1st Team Manager Sam MacNeil on his way to forming a good side for next season. With a large committee now available and a big working party for the Senior side we are sure that the 2012/13 can be an enjoyable and successful first season in Senior football for Kent Football United as we look to write another chapter in our club's history.
All of our youth players will have the opportunity to be mascots, ball boys and train on the Senior pitch during matchdays giving them an experience of adult football, and EVERY player who competes at youth level for Kent Football United will receive a FREE season ticket which can be used to come and watch every HOME GAME FREE of charge during the year. As a club we want to promote the club and your support to the adult section would be much appreciated during next season,
The futures bright the futures United!!!
