This weekend we travel to the Island to face Sheppey United in the Kent Invicta League. Sheppey are having a fantastic debut season in the league currently residing in 5th position and looking to attack the top 4. Sheppey's last result was 1-1 draw with Gravesham Borough despite playing against nine men for much of that game.
KFU have seen a turn around in fortunes with back to back wins for the first time this season. Sam MacNeil's men gunned down Glebe 3-2 coming from behind and then hit Rusthall for 5 in a 5-2 home win the week after. On-loan Justin Nwogu, 18, from Conference side Dartford FC has scored four in his first two games with the club.
Sam said, "the past two weeks have been refreshing and well deserved based on the performances we have put in. In both matches we finished our chances which is something we haven't done all season. Justin has been a revelation so far for us. Coming in as a fresh 18 year old new to senior football he has took his first two games by storm. He scored our opening goal against Glebe with a smart low left footed finish and then completed a 29 minute hatrick over Rusthall before resting at half time for his Kent Rep game the day after where he netted another hatrick. The boy has tremendous talent and has given us a major threat in behind teams and a natural finish to our moves. It is what we have been lacking all season so we are hoping now we can string some more victories together and climb the table before the end of the year. During his time with the club he will make a name for himself and I am sure will be playing a very high level of football in years to come."
