Kidsgrove Athletic have wasted no time in trying to rectify a difficult start to the season by bringing in experienced striker Nick Wellecomme from Stafford Rangers.

Wellecomme, 31, is a target man who will add quality to Grove’s attack.

His most successful spells have been at Stafford Rangers, but he also holds experience in the non-league circuit at clubs such as Chasetown and Hednesford where he also impressed.

Manager Pete Ward said, “Nick will bring Ant Malbon some support up front and hopefully they can form a good partnership together.

“Obviously things need looking at after Wednesday’s result and I think this is a start.”

Wellecomme will be hoping to make his debut for Kidsgrove this weekend when we take on Stocksbridge Park Steels.
