Lancaster City are through to the last 16 of the Evo-Stik League Challenge Cup after beating Ashton United 4-1.

A brace from Dave Swarbrick and goals from Danny Gregson and Max Rothwell ensured the unusual Wednesday night journey ended in a resounding victory and continued City's 100% season record against Evo-Stik Premier clubs.

City host Wakefield on Saturday at Giant Axe and will look to continue their current good run of form.
