The Old Boys look forward to welcoming Leek Town up at Pointon Park on Sunday in the annual Chris McMullen Memorial Match.

Address- Pointon Park, Felthouse Lane, Cheddleton, Nr Leek, Staffs, ST13 7BT

Admission- FREE (Refreshments will be available to buy on the day)

McMullen had played over 400 games for Leek Town and proudly led the team out at the old Wembley in the 1990 FA Trophy final against Barrow.

After injury ended his playing career in the 1992/93 season, he went on to enjoy a successful spell as manager of Leek CSOB, where he later became chairman.

Old Boys manager Dan Hyde said "I hope to see a good turnout on Sunday as we remember a great guy who did so much for both clubs. It is a great opportunity for the people of Leek and Cheddleton to come and see their two local sides in action free of charge. Leek Town have had to play all of their pre-season games away from home due to the pitch having a makeover and they have a completely new look team this season so its a great chance for the Leek Town fans to come and see the new lads in action. It will be great to catch up with Cazzer, Beebs and Daz and im sure it will be a great day and we do Macca proud."

The day before (Sat), CSOB travel to take on a strong Rylands team as they continue to build up their match fitness.
