Official Statement form Leek CSOB FC.
The last few months have been a testing time for CSOB, both on and off the field, all leading up to last weekends cancellation away at Holker Old Boys, this was due to a number of factors, some being financial, some being staff issues.
Firstly Leek CSOB wish to apologies to the league for the cancellation of the game at such short notice, also an apology goes to Holker for a possible loss of revenue.
We appreciate that rumours always keep the football world talking, but this is the official club statement.
Assistant Manager Paul Snape will take over the management role of the first team affairs owing to Brett Barlow having to step down as Manager due to his family marquee business taking on new major contracts leaving him little time for weekend football, Paul will be helped by volunteers to hopefully see the season out.
Leek CSOB have at this time no intention of pulling out of the North West Counties League Division One, but meetings to be held over the next week or so will bring more clarity to the situation.
It is hoped Old Boys will travel to 1874 Northwich on Tuesday as planned to fulfil the fixture with a enthusiastic squad.
Again the club apologises to both the league and Holker for the unfulfilled fixture and hope they appreciate that CSOB are doing everything in their power to see the season out without further disruption.
