Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine announces the return of striker Neil Harvey who has joined from Witton Albion.

Harvey, 31, joined Marine initially in 2010 from Retford United where his scoring record was an impressive 76 goals in 134 matches. His stay at Marine then saw a return of 31 goals in 80 games and he left to join Hednesford Town in May 2012.

He returned to Marine just before transfer deadline day towards the end of last season before deciding on a switch to Witton Albion in the summer.

Harvey, a Barbadian international, has made 6 appearances for his country scoring 2 goals since his debut in 2007 including the world cup qualifier against Dominica in February 2008.

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said:

“It is important now that we look to achieve an improvement in league results and position and to that end Carl recognises the need to bring in players who will help us achieve that aim. Neil is a quality striker with vast experience at this level and I am delighted that he has agreed to return to Marine. I hope that Neil will enjoy his time back at Marine again and help us to achieve some success in the future under manager Carl Macauley.”

Marine Manager Carl Macauley added:

“I am delighted to have signed Neil Harvey who is no stranger to this club. I know he will bring something different to the team as he is a proven striker who will chip in with a fair amount of goals. Me and my staff are looking forward to working with Neil and I am sure his flair will bring goals and assist the team.”
