MARINE EXTEND HALF PRICE ADMISSION OFFER FOR NON- LEAGUE DAY

Richard Cross7 Oct 2018 - 07:41

Special promotions for Marine v Whitby Town on 13th October

Football for a fiver for members of the Armed forces, Civil Servants, NHS & Sefton Council staff, Merseyside Police & Fire Service and Liverpool University Students

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine is pleased to announce that the usual half price admission offers available to Everton and Liverpool season ticket holders is to be extended to members of the Armed Forces, Civil Servants, NHS staff, Merseyside Police and Fire Service, Sefton Council employees and Liverpool University students for the home league game against Whitby Town on Saturday 13th October at the Marine Travel Arena. The game kicks off at 3pm.

The £5 admission offer has also been extended to include all Premier and English Football League season ticket holders. The £5 adult admission price applies on production of a warrant card, staff pass, season ticket or student card at gates 3 or 4.

Admission to the game is free to all schoolchildren aged up to 11 years of age as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Families of up to two adults and three children can also attend the game for as little as £10.

Non-League Day is a day set aside in English football where supporters of clubs playing at the highest levels of the game are encouraged to experience football at non-league level and is set to coincide with a break in fixtures within the football calendar when the Premier League and Championship sides do not have games because of international fixtures taking place on a particular weekend.

It has received widespread backing from the Premier League and from Football League clubs as well as MPs, media organisations, charities and from non-league clubs themselves. The Football Association also gives its backing to the campaign. Clubs often look to this day for a boost in attendance figures and can offer reduced admittance prices to fans of other clubs for games played on Non-League Day.

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said:
“The success of our usual £5 admission offer to Everton & Liverpool season ticket holders was the basis to decide to extend the same offer to other groups of people across Merseyside for the game on Non-League Day, Saturday 13th October. There are tens of thousands of students, civil servants and public sector workers on Merseyside and it is great to be able to invite them to the game against Whitby Town for just £5. I am sure first time visitors to the Marine Travel Arena will be impressed with the family friendly atmosphere in what is an excellent non–league football ground.”
