Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine announces the visits to The Marine Travel Arena of Southport, Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley in a series of friendly games ahead of the new season under manager Sean Hessey who led the Club’s great escape at the end of last season.
The friendlies kick off on Tuesday 14th July against National League club Southport kicking off at 7:30pm. The following Saturday the 18th July sees a strong Tranmere Rovers team at Crosby with a slightly later than normal kick off time of 4pm and on Saturday 25th July Football League 2 Accrington Stanley are the visitors with a kick off time of 3pm.
The final home friendly on Tuesday 28th July is the annual pre-season game against AFC Liverpool who will be ground sharing again at The Marine Travel Arena this coming season. The net proceeds from the game will be shared between the two clubs and will have a kick off time of 7:30pm.
Admission prices for all friendlies have been slashed to £5 adults and £3 concessions. Children aged 11 and under will be admitted for free as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.
Marine Chairman Paul Leary said: “I look forward to hosting Southport, Tranmere Rovers, Accrington Stanley and AFC Liverpool in the coming weeks at The Marine Travel Arena and these games will provide a real opportunity for our players and staff to help prepare for the new season ahead. I would like to thank the directors of Southport, Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley for agreeing to play us and I look forward to welcoming their players, officials and fans to Crosby for these very special friendlies ahead of the new season.”
Paul Leary added:
“We have been very pleased with the increase in season ticket sales in the build up to the new season and supporters wishing to apply for them can do so at any of the pre-season friendlies in the next few weeks. Adult tickets cost £170 working out at just over £7 per game with concessions at £100 working out at under £5 per game. Student season tickets are available for £80 and Junior tickets for children aged 11-16 are just £20, less than £1 per game.
These prices provide affordable football for the local footie fans and I hope, as has been the indication so far, that there is a real attraction to watching Marine with the family this coming season.”
