We started back with pre-season training last Saturday and there was a real buzz about the place. There really was no comparison to last season's opening session to the one that happened on Saturday, the players from last seasons squad who have returned were noticeably impressed with the new players who have been signed.

Those new to the club include some familiar faces, and others who are very well known in non league and professional football circles.
Jordan Hibbert has returned to the club from Dulwich Hamlet. I regard him very highly so to have him on board was a very big coup for us.

Richard Pacquette is no stranger to being a headline grabber. Richard is an experienced ex-professional centre-forward who will bring both goals and guidance to the younger players.

Ty Smith also returns to the club. Ty was one of the best players to have played for me previously before walking away from the club due to work pressures. He will be very influential in our midfield and will also bring both goals and many assists.

There are others who I will update in due course.

One change to our pre-season schedule is that Reading have inexplicably changed their mind about coming to us so we are delighted to say that AFC Hornchurch will visit us on Saturday the 16th July at 3pm.
