This week saw the reserves head to Mutford and Wrentham to try and push on in there promotion race. With 4 players calling off on the morning of the game they knew it was going to be a very tough day at the office.
The game started well with Norton playing some nice football and taking the lead around the 15 minute mark with a great finish from Jake Rose from the edge of the box. Norton carried on dominating the first half and went into half time 1-0 up.
The 2nd half was a different story and Norton were undone by one great finish by a Mutford player and then 2 balls over the top of the defence ending in another 2 goals.
The game ended 3-1 and Mutford took the 3 points. With a full squad this game could have been very different but never the less the 11 lads on the pitch gave it there all for 90 mins and ran themselves into the ground.
The boys are ready to all go again to seal promotion with there next match being a midweek clash with AFC Oulton which could see them secure there place in the Anglian Combination next season.
ASAMS MOM goes to Nathan Grapes for being absolutely solid in the middle of the park and not giving up until the very end.
