From a young age I tried to emulate skilful players like Zico, Riverlino, Jairzinho, Tostao and of course Pele. My favourite position is striker, but I can play right or left wing (I prefer the left). People tend to say that I look and play like Thierry Henry but I don't agree.
The Ossett Town fans can expect to see a lot of creativity and goals from myself and having played against Farsley AFC last week I don't see why we can't gain promotion. If not automatic then at least via the playoffs.
On the game with Farsley it was a bit unfortunate that the officials tried to make the game about themselves. I have never seen such abrasive, intimidating and abrupt officiating in my life.
The referee actually threatened anyone who wanted to discuss anything with him. I also don't agree with the referee refusing to shake hands our manager afterwards. We've done a lot on the respect campaign, but with officials taking to players and management alike in that manor I don't see how respect can be passed on.
Having said all that, the tactics from Mr Elliott and the implementation by the players was spot on. If we play like that the rest of the season we will climb and climb.
A big thank you to Neil Spofforth, his son Joseph, Craig and the lads for helping the new boys settle in.
A big mention goes to Jack Wakefield with one of the best cameo debuts I've ever seen in the game against Farsley, I wish him a speedy recovery.
Personally I hope we can make James Rogers and Lee Broadbent proud and get the town into the prem.
Come on the Town!
