Pelsall Villa have been told they must leave the Bush ground at the end of the 2016/17 season after more than 40 years of playing at their existing base. The club, whose origins in Pelsall go back to the 1890s, was told in early December that the landowner requires that they leave their home at the The Bush ground at the end of the current season.
Club chairman, Darren Phillips, stated " We are actively seeking an alternative home which will give the club a solid foundation on which to continue with the plans to develop the football club across all teams. It is likely that the club will need to share facilities in the short term whilst identifying and building a permanent new home however the club is determined to continue and build on its 120-year history".
It is hoped that a suitable new location can be found within the boundaries of Pelsall and the committee are working with local authorities and landowners to identify possible sites.
