The 'Scholars' have been busy recruiting in the summer to prepare their side for the Bostik League after the switch from the Southern League.
Many of last seasons faces remain while a couple who joined towards the end of last season’s campaign have re-signed to strengthen the squad.
This season the side will be captained by the experienced Lee O’Leary - well know to the 'Scholars' Management - his former clubs include Wimbledon, Wealdstone, Hendon and who last year appeared against us for Canvey Island in the FA Cup.
Three arrivals from Harrow Borough. Centre half Steve Browne who previous clubs include Northwood and Oxhey Jets, Left back Andy Lomas whose last clubs include Walton & Hersham and Northwood and George Nicholas a talented midfielder who also played for Northwood.
The fifth new player is attacking midfielder Billy Lobjoit who after spending much of last season at New Bradwell St Peter the former Leyton Orient player joined in the summer.
Goalkeeper Berkley Laurencin who played at tail end of last season after a dual registration with Hendon has this season committed himself to the club along with a large majority of last season’s squad.
It was important to recognise the difference in styles between the two leagues and we set about bringing in players who we felt would adapt and enjoy the challenges that the Bostik League would offer.
