Redditch United will be inviting local primary schoolchildren to The TRICO Stadium to have their photo taken with the Premier League trophy, as well as take part in various football and classroom activities, on Thursday 24th May.
In association with the West Bromwich Albion Foundation and Premier League Primary Stars, the Baggies’ academy coaches will host a series of training sessions on its 3G pitch, while a fun classroom environment will be set-up for tutors to teach subjects, such as literacy and maths.
Each child will then have their chance to pose with the Premier League trophy. West Bromwich Albion’s mascot, Baggie Bird, will also be flying in to make an appearance.
Redditch United Commercial and Community Director, David Tittershill, said: “Having the Premier League trophy come to The TRICO Stadium is sure to generate plenty of excitement among the groups of primary schoolchildren that will be making the trip.
“I hope they enjoy the mixture of football and classroom activities, and, not only leave with a souvenir photo of them with the famous trophy but take away new skills that they can put into practice.”
