Mayfields Under 9 made a great start taking the lead with quick trys from the outstanding Ben Higginson (2) and then Josh Cragg bundling his way over from Dummy Half, shortly after that the turning point came when Dylan Stott stepped his way through the defence only to be held up inches short of the line, with Higginson, Wilson, Wood and Chappel trying valiantly in defence against a good Underbank side Mayfield eventually came off losing 7 trys to 4 but come out of the game with huge credit leaving coaches Lee Wilson and Gavin Reynolds extremely optimistic about the season ahead. Coaches Man of the Match was Ben Higginson who finished the game with three trys.
