Sandbach travel to Arnold Nottingham, to play their rearranged game against Paviors, following its postponement last weekend due to Storm Dennis. With it being a rearranged fixture, International weekend and half term, both sides are likely not to be at full strength, due to work and existing holiday commitments, but a close game is still anticipated. Sandbach have never played at the Burntstump Hill ground, as Paviors are new to the Midlands Premier league this season, but the newcomers have acquitted themselves well at this level and have a decent home record. Back in October Sandbach won the home encounter 22 v 0 in not the best of conditions, which dictated the scrappy nature of the game and Sandbach will be hoping that the weather is a little better come Saturday, though a strong breeze is predicted.
What Sandbach do know from their previous game is that Paviors are a big outfit in all areas of the park, so they will be aware of this. Consequently, they will need to defend with the same intensity they had in their last outing against Nuneaton and similarly not give the ball away, to nullify any physical advantage. Despite a few changes Sandbach can always rely upon their ingrained cohesion, built on the fact that the core of the players have come through the mini / junior section and been together for a long time. They will be hoping that this and their all-round game will be sufficient to see them come home with another valuable win on the road.
