Social

There are a variety of themed social nights throughout the year, as well as drinking shirt socials, which brings a great atmosphere to the club and helps freshers to get to know both old boys/girls and their fellow newcomers. Our socials are renowned as some of the best in the University, and due to our sponsorship and close relationship with Vodka Revolution Sheffield, our social scene is envied among the other sport teams. Our socials will usually take place in our own private section of Vodka Revolution, and then will continue on to the union club night ROAR. This gives not only the opportunity to bond with your team and clubmates but also enables you to meet a host of new people, including those in other sports clubs.

For Freshers

During Intro Week there will be a sports fair that we attend so if you plan on joining then come along, sign up and you will get told about trials which usually take place a few days after Intro Week ends. Trials are at Goodwin Sports Centre where you will be tested on fitness, ball skill and put into a match situation. If you miss the sports fair keep a look out and ask around for the timings of the trials and just turn up on the day. After trials we head down to Vodka Revolution, of the club's social scene, for the naming ceremony, where you will get your hockey name and a first taste of what to expect every Wednesday night. This is a great opportunity to talk to other freshers and old boys/girls about the club.
