Looking back at 2014/15

The 2014/15 was a strong one for the SUMHC 3rd XI. Led by the infamous Bowtie, we fought valiantly for a 3rd place league finish, missing out on second due to York getting a walk over from our friends Hallam from down the road.

With a new look team including a large number of freshers, the team gelled well on the pitch, and as importantly off the pitch. Keeping up with tradition, the 3rd team had the biggest turnout at pretty much all the socials, including Pub Golf and Alcohol Olympics, and achieved a strong relationship with the Women's club 3rd XI.

We are looking to push on again next year, with a Varsity win firmly in our sights. Although we will be without several key players in the form of Trunk, Bald, Phat and Bert Keen, I feel a good intake of freshers will put us in a good position for a promotion push
