new look for United

Skelmersdale United Football Club are pleased to launch a new evolved Badge to bring us in to an exciting new era.

As a club we felt we needed an update and to bring the club badge into the modern world, which will also help us grow our own following and give ourselves an ability to grow a digital presence. In order to do this, we had to modernise our appearance from top to bottom starting with our new emblem.

The Club's revised emblem incorporates traditional elements of the Club’s previously adopted badge, which was created in 1996 following the clubs relegation to the NWCFL Div 2, whilst underlining our ambition for the future with subtle additions.

New Badge explained -

Pickaxe and Mining Spade to represent the towns history of mining.

Wheatsheef to represent the towns large farming community

Red Rose which represents the the county of Lancashire which Skelmersdale lies.

Unicorn which represented the clubs new start in 1996 following its relegation to the NWCFL Division 2.

Cross Swords which are a symbol of every player, staff member and fan that continue to fight for the club.

Jonathan Southward said " I am thrilled to proudly present the NEW Skelmersdale United Badge, The new badge has been modernised to bring it into a digital age, but had kept the traditional elements such as the New Town emblem along with the Farming and Mining images.

The badge will replace the previous emblem which was designed in 1996 following the clubs relegation.

We hope that this new badge can attract new fans, sponsors and partners. If you would like to become a club partner or sponsor please contact me via Email - Commercial.sufc@outlook.com or Phone - 07954702635"

The new badge will be used on all Social Media immediately and will appear on all Merchandise and kit ready for the 2023/24 season.
